Doctors from Central Clinical Hospital No. 5 in Kharkiv and experts of the regional heal care department conducted a medical examination of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko early on Saturday, the press office of the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine has reported.

“Following the medical examination, doctors gave respective recommendations regarding the further medical treatment of the prisoner and again asked her to end the hunger strike,” the press office reported on Saturday.

At the same time, the ex-premier’s daughter, Yevhenia Tymoshenko, said in an interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty that German doctors from the Charite Clinic planned to visit her mother next week.

“Of course, they’re planning [to come]. Today Professor Einhaupl [Charite CEO Karl Max Einhaupl] phoned me and said that they were very concerned, that they were planning to come next week if she did not end the hunger strike and talk about her further treatment,” Tymoshenko said.

As reported, Tymoshenko went on a hunger strike on October 29 in protest against election fraud.
