You're reading: Klitschko: No laws on visa liberalization with EU registered in parliament

UDAR Party leader Vitali Klitschko has said that the bills, the adoption of which is needed for the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU, were not to be considered during the current session of the Verkhovna Rada. 

“I was surprised at rumors that decisions on European integration were to be submitted for the current session of parliament, which did not open, that is the decisions on the visa-free travel of Ukrainians to the euro zone and so on… We have not found such bills there,” he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said at a meeting with EU Commissioner Stefan Fule on Feb. 7 that five bills, the adoption of which is important for the liberalization of the visa regime with the EU, had been tabled in parliament.
