National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy is planning to buy nearly three billion cubic meters (bcm) of natural gas as part of import in Q3 of this year, Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev has said on Channel 5 on Thursday, June 30, evening.

“We are discussing the purchase of nearly three billion cubic meters of natural gas in the third quarter as part of import from all directions,” he said.

The price proposals by Gazprom and European contractors of the national joint-stock company are almost at the same level, and the state holding will choose additional terms acceptable for it to buy natural gas.

“The proposals from Russian and Ukrainian sides are very close by their level. I think that Naftogaz will shortly take an economically balanced and correct decision regarding where, at what price and what the schedule to buy natural gas will be,” Kobolev also said.
