The payment of pensions in January 2014 will be made according to the daily schedule despite the long holidays, Social Policy Minister Natalia Korolevska has said.

“This year the first week of January, when the payment of pensions begins, is the days off. However, so that citizens could not feel any discomfort, about Hr 2.4 billion was transferred to post offices and bank branches on Dec. 30, 2013 in order to ensure these payments,” Korolevska’s press office quoted her as saying.

She said that the funding of pensions, which are paid according to the daily schedule by Jan. 7, had been guaranteed.

“Post offices will start the payment on Jan. 4 and will also work on Jan. 6. As for the Pension Fund, it will work on Jan. 3, and on the same day it will continue financing the payment of pensions,” Korolevska said.
