Ukrainian MP Natalia Korolevska (BYT-Batkivschyna faction) has said that she wants to meet with former Prime Minister and Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko in order to check on the conditions of her imprisonment.

"Until a decision on Yulia Tymoshenko’s release is taken, I demand immediate access to the detention center where our leader is being held. I want to personally make sure that normal living conditions that will not worsen her health have been created for her, and I want to pass words of support from the people," her press service quoted Korolevska as saying on Friday.

She also said that she intended to continue her regional visits in order to inform the public about the unfairness of Tymoshenko’s trial.

"I’m continuing my regional trips, and in every region I will inform tens of thousands of people about unfair decisions by judges," she said.

Korolevska described the refusal by Kyiv’s Court of Appeals to consider in essence a complaint lodged by Tymoshenko against her arrest as "another black spot on the face of the authorities."

"The semi-closed mode of a meeting and the absence of Yulia Tymoshenko at it once again prove the bias of the judiciary," she said.
