You're reading: Kozhara to visit four European countries this week

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara will visit Slovenia, Romania, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia this week. 

According to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Yevhen Perebyinis, on Sept. 10 the minister will make an official visit to Slovenia to meet with the country’s leaders and discuss the intensification of relations between Ukraine and Slovenia.

“On Sept. 11-13 this year, OSCE Chairman-in-Office and Foreign Minister [of Ukraine Leonid] Kozhara will visit the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Romania. The agenda of the visits includes meetings between the foreign minister and officials and businessmen, during which special attention will be paid to these countries’ support for Ukraine’s European integration course, notably during the preparations for the summit in Vilnius,” Perebyinis said.

He added that Kozhara will attend the opening of the final meeting of the 21st OSCE Economic and Environmental Forum on Sept. 11-13 entitled “Increasing Stability and Security: Improving the Environmental Footprint of Energy-Related Activities in the OSCE Region,” which is one of the key events aimed at the realization of the environmental tasks prioritized by Ukraine during its chairmanship at the OSCE.
