Moscow – The Ukrainian foreign minister, who is currently OSCE chairman-in-office, Leonid Kozhara will visit Russia on March 29, the Russian Foreign Ministry said after a meeting of Deputy Minister Grigory Karasin with Ukraine's First Deputy Foreign Minister Ruslan Demchenko.

They discussed the principal issues of the bilateral Russian-Ukrainian cooperation with an emphasis on the preparation for a visit of Ukrainian Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairman-in-Office Leonid Kozhara to the Russian Federation on March 29, the ministry said.

The parties also dwelt on the issues of the Russian Black Sea Fleet’s presence and operation in Ukraine, the statement reads.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that they thoroughly discussed the prospects of cultural cooperation between Russia and Ukraine, including the joint activities to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus and the 200th anniversary of Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in 2014.

“Karasin and Demchenko discussed current international and regional issues, including the Transdniestrian conflict settlement, the Foreign Ministry said.
