Second Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma has said that there is no sense to hold consultations on settling the situation in the east of the country until Monday.

“The decision of the European Union was made and President [of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko] announced [another] 72 hours [of ceasefire], why should we baby them? Why should we hold talks with them today? We’re waiting until Monday,” he told reporters in Kyiv on Saturday.

Kuchma is a member of the trilateral contact group on settling the situation in the eastern part of Ukraine.
