Representatives of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the Doctors Without Borders and other international organizations have no access to the prisons and other places of holding people in a number of districts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which are not controlled by the Ukrainian authorities, Darka Olifer, the press secretary of Ukrainian representative in the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kuchma, has said.

“OSCE coordinator in the subgroup on humanitarian issues Tony Frisch was not admitted to people illegally held in a number of districts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Meanwhile, experts of international organizations can visit any detention center and talk to those, who had breached the Ukrainian legislation, on the territory controlled by Kyiv,” Olifer wrote on her Facebook page, following the Trilateral Contact Group’s meeting in Minsk on July 27.

“This situation in humanitarian issues should not be left unattended by the leaders of the Normandy Four [Ukraine, France, Germany, and Russia] countries,” the Ukrainian representative’s press secretary said.
