Kyiv City State Administration has stated that all districts of Kyiv are ready for winter, promising to change the rules for car parking during the period of snowfall.
“I think that evacuators should be introduced, and I think that all violators of traffic rules should be evacuated forcibly,” first Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Mazurchak said at the press conference in Kyiv on Wednesday answering the question whether the city administration is going to change rules of the street parking to provide the work of the snow-clearing machinery.
“We’ll take a decision regarding the changes of the conditions of the parking. In the even dates the parking will be on the one side, in odd days – on the other side for snow to be fully removed,” he said.
According to Mazurchak, city officials will introduce such restrictions when heavy snowfalls start.
“We’ll also discuss the issue of permission to hold evacuation of the cars during the winter time in the places, where they hamper to clean streets and stand under the prohibited signs,” he added.
“Today all the districts of the city without exception are ready for the winter. Over 32,000 tonnes of salt was prepared. We provided machinery repairs. There is enough equipment to normally remove snow,” the first deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration reported.
