The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has sent a note of protest to the Russian Foreign Ministry over Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev's trip to Crimea.

“The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is expressing its protest over the presence, not agreed on with Ukraine, of the Russian Federation head of government Medvedev on Ukrainian territory on July 25 this year,” the ministry said in a commentary on July 25.

“The relevant note of protest was sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry,” the ministry said.

On July 25, Medvedev visited Crimea and held a meeting in Sevastopol, which focused on road infrastructure development in the Crimean Federal District.
