Kyiv has fully repaid a Hr 750 million debt to PJSC Alfa-Bank using city and national budget funds, Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration Ruslan Kramarenko has said.

According to the administration’s press service, the debt was repaid in July.

Kramarenko noted that in 2009, in accordance with the decree of the
Cabinet of Ministers to cover the difference in heat tariffs, Kyiv
raised a Hr 750 million loan from Alfa-Bank.

“For all the time of its use, the loan interest was paid on time and
in full. Some Hr 500 million was repaid using funds from the national
budget on July 7, and Hr 37 million and Hr 213 million were repaid
from the Kyiv budget on July 13 and July 18 respectively. The city
budget for 2012 foresees Hr 500 million for servicing debts, and Hr
250 million to pay to Alfa-Bank was allocated from these funds,”
Kramarenko said.
