You're reading: Kyiv to plant 0.5 million rose bushes during landscaping month

Kyiv authorities will allocate Hr 140 million to conduct an autumn landscaping month in the capital, Head of Kyiv City State Administration Oleksandr Popov has reported. 

“It’s far more than last year’s [allocation]. We’ll reconstruct and
carry out major repairs of parks, squares and various territories,”
Popov told journalists at an extended sitting of the board of Kyiv City
State Administration on Monday.

It is planned to plant 2,400 trees, 500,000 rose bushes, and an extra 2 million rose bushes are to be planted in 2013.

The autumn landscaping month will last from September 24 to Nov. 1.
