The law foreseeing the exclusion of Hostynny Dvir (The Shopping Arcade) at 4, Kontraktova Square in Kyiv from a list of cultural property sites that are not subject to privatization was published in the Uriadovy Kurier newspaper on August 13, 2012.

This is law No. 5059-VI on amendments to some Ukrainian laws
regarding the promotion of mortgage crediting, which also obliges to
include expenses on compensation of interest rates on credits of banks
or other financial institutions issued to citizens for construction,
reconstruction or purchase of apartments in the national budget for 2013
and next years.

As reported, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has signed a law
that foresees the exclusion of Hostynny Dvir at 4 Kontraktova Square in
Kyiv from the list of cultural property sites that are not subject to
privatization.

Lawmaker Oleksandr Klymenko (Our Ukraine-People’s Self-Defense) introduced
an amendment under which a point on the alienation of state or municipal
land plots of over 50 hectares was included on the list of obligatory
pecuniary valuations of land for the placement of public sports and
recreation facilities.

Head of Kyiv City Administration Oleksandr Popov reported that the statement of Hostynny Dvir after repairs would not change.

According to him, this concerns neither a change in ownership, nor a change in the architectural type of the project.

“The status of this project according to the project hasn’t been changed,” Popov said.
