Andriy Fedur, a lawyer for Lesia Gongadze, the mother of murdered journalist Georgy Gongadze, has said former Head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry's External Surveillance Department Oleksiy Pukach gave very interesting testimony at a court session on Tuesday.

Fedur noted that he could not disclose the details of Pukach’s testimony in court, as the criminal case contains information about state secrets that he cannot disclose.

The lawyer said that before the break, Pukach testified on the first two episodes of the case, concerning abuse of office involving the destruction of documents and an attack on journalist Oleksandr Podolsky.

"The question of Gongadze’s murder has not been studied yet," Fedur said.

He said the court could proceed to this episode after the break. He noted that Pukach "is providing very interesting testimony, and, as far as I understand, it will become even more interesting."
