The wife of Pavlo Lazarenko's former business partner Isabella Kyrychenko has been released from detention, but is still under a travel ban, according to the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia Ukraine online publication.

Kyrychenko’s lawyer, Denys Buhay, confirmed this report and said that the investigator had decided to release Kyrychenko due to her condition of health.

When asked whether Kyrychenko could have been released because her husband – Petro Kyrychenko – started cooperating with the Ukrainian authorities, the lawyer said: "The investigation officially stated that it was due to her health problems. But every medal has two sides."

The lawyer refused to comment on reports that Isabella Kyrychenko is being guarded by employees the Security Service of Ukraine.

U.S. citizen Isabella Kyrychenko, the wife of Lazarenko’s former business partner, was detained in Kyiv on Sep. 2.

The Prosecutor General’s Office suspects Kyrychenko of fraud and forgery of documents on lifting the sequestration of her husband’s apartment.

Two other citizens of Ukraine, Isabella Kyrychenko’s nephew and a real estate broker, were detained along with her.
