A monument to Bolshevik Revolution leader Vladimir Lenin was set on fire and knocked off its pedestal in the Ukrainian city of Zhytomyr, the Zhytomyr.Info website has reported, blaming activists of the Right Sector radical movement for the action.

In Brovary, a city in the Kyiv region, several dozen radical protesters used a truck to pull down a Lenin monument.

Another Lenin monument was toppled by protesters in Boyarka, outside of Kyiv, last night, the Channel 5 television station reported.
