Ukrainian lawmaker Ksenia Liapina, who won the parliamentary elections in Kyiv's single-seat constituency No. 216 as a representative of the united opposition, has submitted a statement to the prosecutor general about the falsification of a vote count protocol at precinct election commission No. 400180, reads a statement posted on the official Web site of the For Ukraine! Party.

“At this polling station, a falsified vote count protocol contained
an additional 182 votes that were taken away from other parliamentary
candidates in favor of pro-government [self-nominated] candidate
Oleksandr Suprunenko. A total of 362 votes for Suprunenko were initially
written in the protocols that were received by all members of the
precinct election commission after the vote count, but 574 votes for
Suprunenko were written in the final protocol of the district election
commission at this polling station,” reads the statement.

“During the verification of signatures put on primary protocols from
the polling station, it turned out that in the first and second copy of
the vote count protocol, which is in the district election commission,
the signatures of members of precinct election commission No.800180 were
forged, and they immediately reported this to law enforcement
agencies,” reads the statement.

Liapina said that “such actions cannot go unpunished” and therefore
demanded that the prosecutor general “immediately open a criminal case
under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on vote rigging at
polling station No. 800180 and call the criminals to account.”

As reported, according to figures posted on the Web site of the
Central Election Commission, with all votes counted in Kyiv’s
single-seat constituency No. 216, Liapina beat Suprunenko by a margin of
1.57%, getting 29.27% of the vote.
