Ukraine should rapidly accelerate the pace of economic growth, bring it to the level of at least 6 percent per year and maintain this pace during about ten years, Borys Lozhkin, who transferred from the post of presidential administration head to the position of adviser and secretary of the National Investment Council under the president, has said.

“The current nearly 1.5 percent [of growth], of course, is not enough. For the people to feel changes, the annual growth of at least 6 percent per year is required during ten and more years,” he said at a briefing.

“The engine of the Ukrainian economic miracle can be only large private investments,” Lozhkin said.

According to him, Ukraine should become the simplest jurisdiction in terms of doing business in Central and Eastern Europe.
