Luhansk - Retirement home in Luhansk came under fire in the past 24 hours and five people have died, Luhansk City Council said in a statement on Tuesday, July 29.

“As a result of constant gunfire at the city, five civilians – all of
them were residents of a retirement home – were killed. Eight Luhansk
civilians were injured. In the past 24 hours ambulance service carried
out 96 trips,” the document said.

Fourteen residential houses and facilities were damaged in the past 24 hours.

“Accidents and damage to the city’s vital systems related to the
battle actions being carried out took place. For instance, over 40,000
customers in all Luhansk districts were cut from power and over 20,000
customers from water supply and water disposal,” the city council said.
