As of early autumn 2014, over 3,700 facilities in Luhansk Oblast had been damaged or completely destroyed, bringing Hr 3.1 billion in total losses, Luhansk regional state administration has written on its Facebook page.
“According to the economic development and trade department of Luhansk regional state administration, in early September over 3,700 facilities were damaged and destroyed in the region (of which 123 are municipal, 57 – state and 3,516 – in private ownership),” the report said.
Serious damage has been caused to 123 housing facilities, 3,311 – power supply objects, 21 health establishments, 65 education and sports establishments, 74 facilities of road transport infrastructure and 65 industrial facilities.
According to the department, the total amount of damage is over UAH 3.1 billion.
“Under agreement with central authorities a financing source [for repairs] has already been determined – the reserve fund of the State budget of Ukraine,” reads a report from the administration.
