A meeting between vice president of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Walburga Douglas, Program Director at the OSCE International Secretariat Anna Chernova, and Ukraine's imprisoned former Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko lasted more than three hours, the press service of the People's Self-Defense Party has reported.

After the meeting, Douglas noted that despite a two-year stay in prison and serious illnesses, Lutsenko has an enviable sense of humor and faith in the future of Ukraine.

In general, they spoke about the parliamentary elections in Ukraine and the possible development of the situation in the country after October 28.

“We discussed with Yuriy Lutsenko the future of Ukraine and the pre-election situation. We had a very interesting discussion, and he had very interesting proposals. The duration of the meeting fully satisfied us,” Douglas told Channel 5 reporters after her visit to prison.

According to Channel 5, Lutsenko and OSCE representatives spoke through a partition.
