Spectators at the unveiling of Lviv stadium hissed and booed when shown the video, praising Yanukovch’s role in building the venue for Euro-2012 soccer tournament.

After the dance show whichopened Oct. 29 ceremony, the organizers showed a video highlighting the failure of previous government to ensure timely construction of the venue, meanwhile praising the crucial role of President Viktor Yanukovych in getting it done, Zakhid.net reports.

Such criticism of former president Viktor Yushchenko caused visible dissatisfaction among the crowd, which began to hiss and boo the moment Yanukovych appeared on the stadium’s giant video screen and continued to voice protests until the video was over. Press-service of the Lviv State Regional Administration claims that they were not involved in creating and broadcasting the video.

Yanukovych himself visited the stadium prior to its opening, yet, decided not to take part in the opening ceremony personally. The ceremony took place on time, even though the stadium is not completely ready. UEFA President Michel Platini expressed confidence in September that Ukraine will host a "beautiful Euro" despite "some little problems," which included finishing the roof at the Lviv stadium, Associated Press reported.
