Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn has proposed that parliamentarians not to deliver long speeches at the opening of the 11th session of the Ukrainian parliament of the sixth convocation on Tuesday.

“The session will open tomorrow. I think that long speeches are unnecessary, as any proposals will be considered pre-election campaigning,” he said at a meeting of the conciliatory council of the heads of the parliamentary factions and committees in Kyiv on Monday.

Lytvyn said the parliamentarians should “just inform the Verkhovna Rada and the public about their plans for further work.”

As reported, the parliamentary elections will be held in Ukraine on October 28.
