Mezhyhirya Festival, day 1 ( LIVE STREAM)

For the last 3 years before EuroMaidan Revolution, every June 6th, celebrated as journalist's day in Ukraine, activists and journalists were organising the rally to protest media censorship in the country in front of the President Yanukovych residence Mezhyhirya. On February 22nd, after the end of the Yanukovych government and his abrupt leave, the Mezhyhirya compound, his residence in the Kyiv countryside, was opened to protesters, activists and journalists. This led to the discovery of more than 200 folders of documents detailing the former president's activities. This year, for the third time, on June 4 and 5th participators will gather to celebrate freedom of expression and Ukraine's first journalism award for the best investigation at the event. At the residence, organizators will gather national and international speakers, journalists and activist and present a final analysis of the last years's events together with the documentary about Russian propaganda in Baltic States.
