The regular call for military service in Ukraine's Armed Forces will run from May 5 until June 30 and in October-November this year.
Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko signed the corresponding bill No 122/2016 “On discharging of servicemen, terms of calls for military service, regular calls of Ukrainian citizens in 2016” into law, the presidential website has reported.
According to the document, servicemen with a higher education degree (specialist) or master’s degree and have completed their military service will be discharged in April-June and in November.
Other servicemen who have completed the required service term will be discharged in October-December 2016.
The law enters into force on the date it is published, except for the paragraphs which concern the spring call for service (enforced April 5) and the one in autumn (enforced Sept. 1).
