Heavy rains and gust of wind on the night of July 17 triggered power lines protection system causing blackouts in 151 towns and villages.

Electricity supplies have been disrupted in 46 towns and villages in Cherkasy region, 38 in Poltava region, 31 in Kyiv region, 19 in Odesa region, 10 in Kherson region, 5 in Dnipropetrovsk region, 2 in Kirovohrad region, the press service of the Ukrainian Emergency Situations Ministry reported.

Regional electricity companies’ teams are working to tackle the power disruptions.

As of 07.00 on Tuesday, power supplies were restored in 332 out of the 409 towns and villages, which were blacked out on the night of July 16 in ten regions of Ukraine.
