You're reading: Mohyliov invites Turkish businessmen to invest in Crimea

SIMFEROPOL - During their visit to Turkey, the Crimean delegation offered the country to invest into the development of the peninsula, Crimean Prime Minister Anatoliy Mohyliov, who lead the delegation, said.

"We discussed the issues related to Turkey’s assistance to the development of Crimea. At present, it (Turkey) is one of the economies with the steadiest development rate, its development pace is second only to China in the world," he told reporters in Simferopol on Wednesday.

According to Mohyliov, during his visit to Turkey, he met with the speaker of the Turkish parliament. The Crimean delegation also met with the ministers of foreign affairs, economy and science, and transport of Turkey and representatives of the Turkish Agency for Cooperation and Development TIKA and Turkish businessmen.

"In early May, a large delegation of Turkish businessmen came to us to discuss the principal areas of the strategy of the development of Crimea, which I presented to them. We brought them documents suggesting in which areas they could invest in Crimea," the Crimean premier said.

He noted, in particular, the development of resort and recreation area, industry, agriculture, main transport routes, wind and solar energy in Crimea.

"They are ready to participate in the implementation of the project in all these areas in Crimea. All of them have shown interest, in particular in main transport routes and the development of farming industry," Mohyliov said.
