Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Social Policy Sergiy Tigipko has said he is confident that Prime Minister Mykola Azarov will retain his post after the formation of a majority in parliament.

“I think that Azarov will remain prime minister,” he said at the
press center of the Regions Party’s headquarters late on Sunday.

At the same time, he predicted that the composition of the government could change.

“There could be some kind of coalition, and perhaps someone will want
to come to power, and then it will be possible to speak about the posts
they can claim,” Tigipko said.
