You're reading: NATO experts assess options of logistics assistance for Ukraine

A delegation of NATO logistics experts arrived in Ukraine on Monday to discuss with Ukrainian specialists how the alliance could contribute to logistics support intended to meet the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 

The NATO experts, led by Bruno Cantin, head of the Logistics, Defense Policy and Planning Division at the NATO International Secretariat, met with Ukrainian First Deputy Defense Minister Bohdan Butsa in Kyiv, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said in a press release.

The two sides’ delegations also held talks.

The NATO experts were informed of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ logistics assistance priorities.

The NATO delegation also plans to meet with officials of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry and Armed Forces General Staff on May 13 and May 14 to discuss the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ structure and procurement system, Ukraine’s mechanisms for receiving foreign logistics assistance and logistics cooperation.

In addition to that, the alliance’s experts are expected to visit several Ukrainian enterprises before leaving the country on May 15.
