You're reading: NATO to help Ukraine implement defense reform

BRUSSELS – NATO will continue to provide Kyiv with advice on the defense and security reform, at Ukraine's request, NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow said on Monday after meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak.

“Discussed #Ukraine defense reforms & #NATO’s strong support for Ukraine through Trust Funds. Ukraine doesn’t stand alone,” Vershbow wrote on his Twitter account.

He also said that NATO continues to deal with the situation in Ukraine and supports peaceful conclusion of the conflict.
