You're reading: NBU Council approves appointment of new deputy governors

The Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has approved the appointment of the new deputy governors of the National Bank of Ukraine, Interfax-Ukraine has learned at the bank. 

“The council has approved the decision on the deputy governors of the NBU,” the source said.

According to the source, Oleksiy Tkachenko, who earlier served as director general of the NBU’s department of banking supervision, and Mykola Udovychenko, who was head of the State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine, were appointed the deputy governors of the NBU.

As reported, on Jan. 11, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Ihor Sorkin as NBU governor. He had previously worked as the deputy head of the central bank.
