The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has fulfilled all the conditions under the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the NBU reported on its Facebook page quoting the bank governor, Valeriya Gontareva, during a meeting with IMF mission head Ron van Rooden on Tuesday.

The NBU fulfilled all the conditions of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, which are related to the bank’s activities, and is currently awaiting a speedy completion of the second review of the EFF, Gontareva said.

The meeting participants also discussed the NBU’s monetary policy amid inflation targeting and the steps for further liberalization of foreign exchange regulation and the reboot of the banking sector, the statement said.

As reported, the IMF mission started its work in Ukraine on Tuesday in the framework of the second review of the EFF program. The mission will work in Ukraine until May 18.
