You're reading: NBU head: Ukraine expects IMF mission to come soon

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has opened talks with potential donors on the provision of financial aid to Ukraine, NBU Governor Stepan Kubiv reported on Wednesday after a meeting with bankers.

According to him, there was a first exchange of information on the
state of the country’s financial system, which was reported to the
potential creditors.

Kubiv also said that Ukraine has invited the specialists of the
International Monetary Fund (IMF) to come to Kyiv to prepare a new
credit program.

“Believe me, it will be done soon,” he said.
