Terminal D, which is being constructed at the Boryspil International Airport, will service only football fans during the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, Boryspil Airport Director General Anton Volov has said.

"At first Terminal D will not be open to passengers. During six months all technologies there will be installed, launched and tested, and their work will be adjusted during aviation procedures. The new terminal for passengers will start operating by Euro [2012]," Volov told the Ukraine 2012 Information Center.

According to him, the date of the scheduled completion of the terminal’s construction, December 2011, will not be postponed. But about six months more will be needed for the functional commissioning of the terminal, the airport’s director general said.

Volov added that Terminal B would service scheduled flights at the airport, while Terminal F would service charter flights and low-cost companies.

"At the same time, Terminal D will operate only for football fans in June 2012. Then, by the end of 2012, all scheduled flights will be transferred to the new terminal," Volov said.
