The incidents of obstructing the work of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE SMM) on the Donbas territory not controlled by Ukraine demonstrate that security conditions for monitors of the special mission have worsened, says Darka Olifer, spokesperson of Kyiv representative in the Trilateral Contact Group, former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma.

“Ukraine is concerned with the facts of attacks on the OSCE SMM monitors which have taken place last week on the Donbas territory not controlled by Ukraine. This points to worsening conditions for the safe work of monitors of the monitoring mission in some districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” she posted on Facebook following the Contact Group meeting in Minsk on Jan. 20.

The Trilateral Contact Group will hold a next meeting in Minsk on Jan. 27, Olifer said.
