After an attack by illegal armed groups at positions of Ukrainian military men near Sloviansk (Donetsk region) on Saturday three counterterrorist operation participants were killed, Oleksiy Dmytrashkovsky, a press officer for the security operation in Donetsk, has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Three Ukrainian military men were killed during an attack at a checkpoint near Sloviansk, another four military men were wounded,” he said.

The press service of National Guard said that one National Guard member was wounded at a checkpoint near Sloviansk. They said that at around 1400 a massive attack at a checkpoint where National Guard military men are on watch was started.

As reported, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko prolonged ceasefire in the eastern part of Ukraine until 2200 Kyiv time on June 30, 2014.
