You're reading: Official: Yanukovych dismisses Ukraine’s representative in CIS economic council commission

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has dismissed Ukraine's plenipotentiary representative on the Economic Commission of the CIS Economic Council, Yevhen Herasymov.

According to a report on the president’s Web site, the president signed a corresponding order, No. 522/2012, on Thursday.

Herasymov was appointed country’s plenipotentiary representative on the Economic Commission of the CIS Economic Council to replace Volodymyr Sytarchuk, who was dismissed from this post on November 27, 2008 under an order of former President Viktor Yuschenko.

Sytarchuk had held the post since February 2004.
