A close supporter of Ukraine’s jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko said on Tuesday the ex-premier had recently suffered a fainting spell after taking medication prescribed to her by prison doctors. Tymoshenko’s right-hand man Oleksandr Turchynov said the 51-year-old foe of President Viktor Yanukovych fainted and could not regain her full strength for two hours on Jan. 6 after taking what appeared to be a basic cold remedy. “She fainted immediately after taking the medication,” Turchynov said.
