People's deputies from the BYT-Batkivschyna parliamentary faction are to visit Kharkiv on April 19 to attend a court hearing of the criminal case on activities of the United Energy Systems of Ukraine (UESU) Corporation against former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko.

"I think that not only our faction, but all opposition deputies in the parliament will undoubtedly support the leader of the opposition, Yulia Tymoshenko, no matter where they are," First Deputy Chairman of the Batkivschyna Party Oleksandr Turchynov told a briefing in Kyiv on April 17, when asked whether laemakers would support Tymoshenko during the first court hearing scheduled for April 19 in Kharkiv.

Turchynov said the consideration of the new criminal case on the UESU was connected to the fact that the authorities realized that the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) "will make a fair decision" on the ruling of Pechersky District Court of Kyiv to sentence Tymoshenko to seven years in prison.
