Members of the oppositional parliamentary factions, who are blocking the Ukrainian parliament's work, spent another night at the sitting hall of the Verkhovna Rada.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter at the parliament, the MPs continue to block the rostrum and the presidium of the Verkhovna Rada.

At the same time, the oppositional MPs promised not to hinder a meeting of EU Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fuele with the parliamentarians.

“He can come to the rostrum and deliver his speech,” UDAR parliamentary faction MP Vitaliy Kovalchuk told journalists on Thursday.

As reported, Fuele is planning to meet with a group of Ukrainian parliamentarians, including the committee heads and members of the parliamentary committees for foreign affairs, for European integration, and for defense and security, on February 7.

On February 5, the second session of the seventh convocation did not start in the Verkhovna Rada due to the blocking of the parliament’s presidium and rostrum by the opposition. UDAR faction members have spent two nights at the parliament’s sitting hall.
