You're reading: OSCE envoy says parties to Donbas conflict ready to discuss orphans exchange

MINSK - The humanitarian subgroup of the Contact Group on Ukraine met in Minsk on June 1 to discuss exchange of teenagers separated from their parents and of orphans on both sides of the contact line in Donbas, Martin Sajdik, Special Representative of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, told reporters on June 1.

The children could be moved from the separate areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions towards Ukraine, and vice versa, he said.

The subgroup members agreed to cooperate with experts on this issue and the United Nations Children’s Fund, Sajdik added.
