More than 500,000 people have visited Yalta since the beginning of the resort season, which is 8% more than in the previous year, according to Yalta Mayor Serhiy Ilash.
“The occupancy of resorts in Yalta region rose by 4%. Due to additional places, this year health centers were 115% occupied, while in the past year the figure was 111%,” Ilash told reporters.
According to him, during this period tourist fee revenues amounted to UAH 2.544 million. The mayor noted that active preparations for the season and a large number of various events facilitated this indicator.
“In June, the Odesa-Crimea-Caucasus cruise line “The six resort capitals of the Black Sea” was launched.
In late June, Yalta accepted participants in the first International Yacht Festival “Black Sea 2013.” In September, the sports and cultural festival “WOG Yalta Rally Fest 2013” took place.
He also believes that the activity of the Tourist Information Center of Velyka Yalta, which provides all the necessary information for tourists and introduced a discount card of 5% to 20% for 170 enterprises and organizations in the service sector in Yalta region, played an important role in the organization of leisure activities.
