Almost 80 percent of Ukraine's population believe that the Ukrainian president and government provide conditions for the enrichment of oligarchs and officials, shows a poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology on May 13-18.
According to the results of the poll, which were presented in Kyiv on May 26, 78.5 percent of the respondents believe that the main function fulfilled by the president and government is to create conditions for the enrichment of oligarchs and officials.
Only 3.9 percent believe that the president and government defend the interests of the general public, 8.4 percent believe the president and government defend the national interests, and 9.1 percent did not select any of the response options or were undecided.
The poll was conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology for a client, on May 13-18, by personal interviews with 2,039 respondents in 110 populated areas.
