The Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, has passed a bill amending the law of Ukraine on state aid granted to families with children to cut down on the number of documents necessary to receive state aid granted on the birth of a child.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, a total of 326 of the 371 MPs registered in the sitting hall voted for the document on Tuesday.

From now on, in order to receive state aid for the birth of a child, one of the child’s parents will have to submit to the agency in charge of labor issues and social protection of the population and an application for receiving the state aid, information about the place of residence of the child, and an identity document.
