You're reading: Peskov: Very fact of Geneva talks on Ukraine is positive; productivity yet to be analyzed

The very fact of the Geneva talks on Ukraine on April 17 is positive, but productivity of this dialogue has yet to be analyzed carefully, says Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. "We are facing a very difficult test ahead after signing this paper. I certainly understand that our Western partners are trying to shift responsibility to our side now. But I'd like to say one thing here: this is common responsibility," Peskov said in a program on Russian television.

Russia is interested in a stable, prosperous, and unified Ukraine more than any other country, he said.

“The very fact that the dialogue has taken place is positive. As for productivity and results of this dialogue, it probably has to be analyzed carefully yet,” he said.
