You're reading: Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Groysman differ on future government composition – member of parliament

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction has, so far, been unable to reach a consensus on the composition of a future government with Verkhovna Rada speaker Volodymyr Groysman, whom this very faction has proposed as its candidate for prime minister, Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, told journalists at the Rada on April 12 evening.

“We have, so far, been unable to find a common language with the candidate for prime minister,” Honcharenko said.

The negotiations are continuing. The parties differ on candidates for the economy, fuel and energy, and culture ministers, he said.

Meanwhile, Serhiy Leschenko, another member of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, claims that Hroisman has, so far, been unable to reach a consensus on the government composition with the presidential office.

“The negotiations on Groysman’s Cabinet have reached a dead end. Nothing is going to happen today. Hroisman and Bankova [the street in Kyiv where the presidential office is located] are arguing about who will appoint loyal ministers,” Leschenko said, via Twitter, on Tuesday evening.
