Odesa – Investigators are checking several versions on the murder of the director of a major construction company in Odesa.
An informed source told Interfax-Ukraine that the police have two main versions on the crime –murder connected with business activities of the victim, in particular his big debt, and domestic homicide.
“The domestic homicide version is being considered due to the fact that the criminal stabbed him by a needle, a grind, or a long knife,” the source said.
According to the source, a video surveillance camera recorded a possible suspect, but did not record the moment when the murder was committed.
Another source told the agency that a criminal case has been opened on the murder of the businessman. The source did not specify the classification of the case, but noted that employees of the prosecutor’s office of Odesa region have been involved in the investigation.
As reported, an unidentified person murdered director of a major construction company in Bazarna Street in Odesa at around 1800 on Wednesday, August 22.
The criminal stabbed the victim 13 times. The victim died immediately at the scene of the crime.
A number of Odesa-based media have reported with reference to an informed source that the victim is the director of a major construction firm SK and Co, Serhiy Brukvach.
