The Kyiv law enforcement authorities have found and seized ammunition and jewelry from tents pitched at Kyiv's main square Maidan and area around it a lot of weapons, Kyiv police told Interfax.

“Police seized RGD-5 shell, six AKM machine guns, two Makarov guns, rocket propelled grenades, two rifles, radio stations, jewelry, two items resembling guns, 16-caliber ammunition, sawed-off gun, pneumatic gun, boxes with Molotov cocktail and a box with gas masks at Maidan territory, from tents around Maidan and from a Mercedes bus, which was in the city center,” police said.

As of now, two people have been detained and four law enforcers from the Kyiv-1 battalion have been injured, the Kyiv police said.

“At this stage, it is being decided whether to open criminal proceedings under the Article 296 (hooliganism) and Article 263 (illegal arms possession) of the Ukrainian Criminal Code,” police said. All items seized have been sent for testing, the law enforcement authorities said.
