You're reading: Polish observers positive about elections in Odesa region

Odesa – Polish observers who spent two days in single-seat constituency No. 138 in Odesa region have positively evaluated the election process in the region.

A member of a short-term observation mission from Poland and a member
of the Polish Senate Jacek Piotrowski told journalists at a press
conference on Monday that while monitoring the elections he did not
notice any significant violations. The observers monitored the polling
process, as well as the process of opening ballot boxes and the counting
of the votes.

At the same time, the observer pointed at the fact that leaflets with
“black PR” against one of the candidates during no-campaigning day
before the poll was noticed, campaign material was not removed in some
places, and some violations took place during polling. According to the
observation mission, this could not affect the results of the elections.

“No one intruded in our work, and this is the most positive fact. The
members of all election commissions worked very well and fulfilled
their obligations correctly,” one of Polish observers Piotr Wiecek
added.
